Are you using CentOS 6 on your hypervisor? If so, just change the value at the database for allow hot migration to 1.

    Hi,

Yes, we use CentOS 6 64bit on the HVs and control server.

    OK, but:

    1. In support case Request #223206 there was mentioned that there will be no longer support if we do this

    2. We don't know where in the database the change has to be done, we asked for an example in the support case above, but then 1.

    Regards

I am not from OnApp Support, just another OnApp user. We have many Windows clients and hot migration for us is a must. We changed allowed_hot_migrate from 0 to 1 at the database for the Windows templates and hot migrations are working fine here.

Hot migration should be working for Windows templates which have Virtio support, if you are finding that not to be the case please open a ticket with our support team so they can review the particular failure in more detail.

Make sure, that date and time on HVs is the same.
