Allow Larger Volumes - OnApp Storage
CompletedWith some traditional SANs, you can create large volumes based on the total amount of hard drives. Right now, each vDISK volume is limited to what the stripes are and how many disks are involved. If you have 2 stripes, on 300GB disks, you are maxed out at 600GB. Be nice if the vDISK can allow for a bigger volume and use additional 300GB Disks. So you created a 1200GB volume, 50% of the data goes on the 2x 300GB stripe, and the other 50% goes on to the other 2x 300GB stripe.
I believe these or LVM disks, so adding more storage to the volume should be possible. The issue will be the logistics of the dm-multipath, not sure if it's possible!
