Question
Can I add an additional public/private network?
Environment
All OnApp Versions
Answer
Yes it is possible to set up an additional network:
- Ensure you are using a trunk port from the switch to your hypervisors for VM networking, this is required to add more then one network to a single hypervisor network interface.
- Create a new network in Settings -> Networks menu. Indicate a label for the new network and the VLAN ID.
- Next, add an IP range to the new network (this can be public or private IPs).
- Assign this network to a hypervisor or HV zone in Hypervisor (HV zone) -> Manage networks menu. Specify the same network interface as you currently use for your primary network.

Hello,
I am having some trouble with networking. I am on a trunk so that could be a reason as I can’t assign any VLANs.
I have my 185.19.176.0/24 network that I use for my VMs.
Then I have installed CloudLinux with Cpanel and Pleskpanel on 2 VMs with network 185.19.177.0/25
And my intention was to use that for the domains on respective Panel.
But I can’t access these domains. I suspect I need to use a gateway other than 185.19.177.1 but can’t figure out how to do that.
Same with ipv6 I have 2 and 2A03:8180:1001:0131:0000:0000:0000:0000/64 should be assigned to the VMs during set up, and 2A03:8180:1001:0132:0000:0000:0000:0000/64 should be assigned to the domains on the panels
I think the ipv6 configuration is causing a timeout when I log in to a VM at least with ssh as I get a delay during login especially between user and password.
Is it any way this could be fixed?
All the best
Bosse
